UnitedStatesian (talk) 04:06, 16 December 2020 (UTC) Rohingya genocide - good topic for you?User:Apriljennifer, in working briefly on the Rohingya genocide article and Talk page, I noticed your involvement some time ago, and reviewed your personal User page. Your listed areas of interest appear to nearly all (but the last two) tie in, directly, to major issues in the Rohingya "genocide." In fact, I was quite surprised at how close a match your interests are to the issues in that topic. Accordingly, I'd encourage you -- time and circumstances permitting (and I realize young people have much on their "to-do" list, especially when attending college) -- to consider becoming more attentive to that (and closely related) articles (e.g.: Rohingya people. This event is the largest modern "ethnic cleansing" crisis, and "genocide" in all of Asia -- with the exception, arguably, of the Uyghur "genocide" recently undertaken by China. But, unlike the Uyghur persecution, which involves China (and therefore excites the whole English-speaking world), the Rohingya genocide (now in its 4th year) has little fascination for most of the English-speaking world, and is no longer getting the attention that its scale and severity would seem to justify -- at least not on English-language Wikipedia. Your self-identified interests and skills -- especially if very carefully tempered by a disciplined adherence to the guidelines of WP:NPOV (neutral point-of-view) and WP:RS (reliable sources) -- could be a significant contributor to a global understanding of this complex and pivotal crisis, which significantly involves not only a specific demographic, but whole nations, cultures, religions, and alliances. Having spent much time on this issue, myself -- and having struggled to document it to Wikipedia standards -- has greatly broadened strengthened my understanding of current global issues (and I've already been an award-winning international affairs scholar, and professional journalist). It's a rugged, and humbling -- but effective -- way to hone one's global awareness, insight, objectivity and understanding, while accomplishing something of global value. On the Talk:Rohingya genocide page, I've added links to several English-language major-media resources that will help anyone seriously interested in good WP:RS-grade sources and references on the issue. Best of luck, as you grow in knowledge and experience. ~ Penlite (talk) 13:06, 27 January 2021 (UTC) Your submission at Articles for creation: Chaim Sztajer has been accepted Chaim Sztajer, which you submitted to Articles for creation, has been created.
