Hello! Voting in the 2020 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 7 December 2020. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.
The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
The source you shared rather copied the Wikipedia page John Atta Mills. I copied most of his policies from the John Atta Mills page and I attributed I copied. The text I wrote all have sources as well. Kwesi Yema (talk) 03:47, 25 November 2020 (UTC)
Hi, I see you review draft basketball articles. If you have time, might you be able to take a look at Draft:Jordan Cohen? As I understand it, it was rejected (more than once) when it was an article about a different person, but now that he meets the basketball notability standard, i would think it should be a slam dunk (sorry). Thanks. --2604:2000:E010:1100:CD45:970:B175:7B13 (talk) 10:31, 27 November 2020 (UTC)
I believe there's a misunderstanding here. The article was originally my draft, but a conflict of interest arose and it was deleted. The text you referenced was a copy-paste of what I wrote here - technically the true violator of copyright - and the editor behind the new iteration was given the words by me. I myself, however, can't contribute to the article. That's why the draft died in the first place. DÅRTHBØTTØ (T•C)05:15, 29 November 2020 (UTC)
The new article is the same as the deleted draft. We need a history merge - I have tagged it for specialist attention and someone should be along shortly to fix the page history.— Diannaa (talk) 14:33, 29 November 2020 (UTC)

The new version of MediaWiki will be on test wikis and MediaWiki.org from 1 December. It will be on non-Wikipedia wikis and some Wikipedias from 2 December. It will be on all wikis from 3 December (calendar).
Future changes
The iOS Wikipedia app will show readers more of the article history. They can see new updates and easier see how the article has changed over time. This is an experiment. It will first be shown only to some iOS app users as a test. [1][2]
The Wiki Replicas can be used for SQL queries. You can use Quarry, PAWS or other ways to do this. To make the Wiki Replicas stable there will be two changes. Cross-database JOINS will no longer work. You can also only query a database if you connect to it directly. This will happen in February 2021. If you think this affects you and you need help you can post on Phabricator or on Wikitech. [3]
Note: All columns in this table are sortable, allowing you to rearrange the table so the articles most interesting to you are shown at the top. All images have mouse-over popups with more information. For more information about the columns and categories, please consult the documentation and please get in touch on SuggestBot's talk page with any questions you might have.
SuggestBot picks articles in a number of ways based on other articles you've edited, including straight text similarity, following wikilinks, and matching your editing patterns against those of other Wikipedians. It tries to recommend only articles that other Wikipedians have marked as needing work. We appreciate that you have signed up to receive suggestions regularly; your contributions make Wikipedia better — thanks for helping!
Enterprisey's parsoid-round-trip uses Parsoid to convert wikitext to HTML and back, and then shows the result and the difference between the original wikitext and the post-conversion wikitext.
Frietjes's infoboxgap assists in renumbering infobox labels/data/classes, so that a new line can be inserted in the middle of the infobox.
Twinkle has made a number of improvements, including using a change tag to identify actions made with it and automatically filing edit requests for protected XfD nominations.
GeneralNotability's spihelper updated to 2.2.10, fixing a number of small bugs, automatically tagging globally locked socks as such in the sockpuppet template, and restoring open cases following an SPI history merge.
Enterprisey's script-installer gadget has been updated with more internationalization of messages, as well as addition of a user preference, window.scriptInstallerInstallTarget to allow controlling where new scripts are to be installed.
My apologies for the delayed issue. As always, if anyone else would like to contribute, help is appreciated. Stay safe, --DannyS712 (talk) 18:20, 1 December 2020 (UTC)
Hello, I’m Robloxsupersuperhappyface. I am here to talk to you about the article Tropical Storm Merbok (2017). You reviewed the article just minutes after it was created and gave me very little time to continue my expansion on it. I would like to kindly ask you to reassess the article since it has had expansions. Thank you! Robloxsupersuperhappyface (talk) 01:43, 2 December 2020 (UTC)
Thank you. But now you have 3 U.S.-based hooks leading off Prep 4.
BTW we have been running 3 rather than 4 bios per set, and 3 rather than 4 U.S. hooks per set. See queues above. Yoninah (talk) 18:52, 5 December 2020 (UTC)
Hi, what did you do here? You're not allowed to edit my icon. You could put a new icon under it, with your comment and signature stamp. Do you really think ALT1 is hooky? Yoninah (talk) 18:45, 5 December 2020 (UTC)
Yoninah, I was going to notify you.....was thinking of ALT1, but I was little doubtful, as is like a fact.....restoring tick and notifying the nominator too. — Amkgp💬18:48, 5 December 2020 (UTC)

Recent changes
You can now put pages on your watchlist for a limited period of time. Some wikis already had this function. [4][5]
Changes later this week
Information from Wikidata that is used on a wiki page can be shown in recent changes and watchlists on a Wikimedia wiki. To see this you need to turn on showing Wikidata edits in your watchlist in the preferences. Changes to the Wikidata description in the language of a Wikimedia wiki will then be shown in recent changes and watchlists. This will not show edits to languages that are not relevant to your wiki. [6][7]
The new version of MediaWiki will be on test wikis and MediaWiki.org from 8 December. It will be on non-Wikipedia wikis and some Wikipedias from 9 December. It will be on all wikis from 10 December (calendar).
Since already existing page have conflicts in data, the author of the page give negative impression to the Institution's page and which misleads article readers, since we have given better data with many reference to change data in the "https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vellore_Institute_of_Technology" but the page author refuses and continuing the article with the same misleading information. We have given deletion of content too there is not any improvement and the author refuses to do that. Since lot of readers are misguided and makes a serious issue so we have created the new article for that. So kindly approve the new page so that the reader of the article will get correct information this is related to student education.
Vitvellorecampus (talk) 11:57, 9 December 2020 (UTC)
Vitvellorecampus - We cannot approve drafts where an article already exists on the same subject in the mainspace. Wikipedia is not the place to "write your own version" of an article simply because you have a dispute with another editor on the current revision of the published version. You need to follow Wikipedia's dispute resolution protocol and work things out with the editor. If no agreement can be made, the dispute resolution guide has information and instructions on how to properly handle this. If you have questions or need advice, please let one of us know and we'll be happy to help. :-) ~Oshwah~(talk)(contribs)12:32, 9 December 2020 (UTC)
Hi, FYI we have a lot of people images so we're trying to space them out every other set. I see you enjoy plugging in the lead image, so in Prep 1 we need a non-person image. (If you can build a whole prep set, even better!) Thanks, Yoninah (talk) 02:37, 10 December 2020 (UTC)
Thanks for uploading File:Dixion Technologies logo.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
Hi, I promoted your hook. Please add a cite to this sentence: During the first comprehensive survey in the then Kingdom of Bavaria in the years 1808 to 1853, the oak was registered on the Bad Brückenau - NW CIV 56 original sheet from November 1848 with the field number 284 and the name Königseiche. Thanks, Yoninah (talk) 13:17, 10 December 2020 (UTC)
Thank you. I really wanted to get that image on the main page, so I promoted it in the hopes that you'd add the cite. Best, Yoninah (talk) 20:41, 10 December 2020 (UTC)
