Thank you for asking. You can reuse almost any photo on Wikipedia that does not have a "Fair Use" license. My uploads have an attribution requirement which can be as simple as "Wikipedia" or "Americasroof at Wikipedia." The best place for photos of Harlem is http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Category:Harlem I have several in there. This company develops large iconic industrial buildings in Kansas City including the 4 million square foot Sprint-Nextel headquarters, the new headquarters of the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City, the headquarters of Russell Stovers Candies and is now building a plant to build 85 percent non-nuclear components of the country's arsenal. This was all stated in the article when the prod was placed on it ONE MINUTE after its initial creation. 05:53, 14 January 2010 (UTC)

Betty Cooper Hearnes-separate article

Hi! I think the article about Betty Cooper Hearnes, widow of former Missouri Governor Warren Hearnes should reestablished as a separate article. Betty Hearnes served in the Missouri House of Representatives for a few years and state legislators are consider to be notable. Just because Betty Hearnes was first lady of Missouri does not means the article should not had been redirected on that basis alone. I started an article about Betty Cooper Hearnes. You may want to transfer information from the article on Warren Hearnes to the article. I also started an article about Ruth Bachhuber Doyle. She served in the Wisconsin State Assembly. Her husband James Doyle, Sr. was an United States District Court judge in Wisconsin and her son is Governor Jim Doyle of Wisconsin. Montauk Association Historic District

Hi Americasroof, I am very pleased there's a 2007 pic by you illustrating Montauk Association Historic District. Do you happen to have any more? Villa Maria

Hi there A-roof. I heard you were the go-to guy for photos in Long Island. If so, is there any chance you could hop down sometime to take a photo of Villa Maria? I recently wrote the article but could barely find a single photo of it on the web, and none suitable for Wikipedia.

If you can manage to get down there, a shot of the front of the building would be ideal, it's a lot more interesting than the back, but it might be hard to get a photo of it because it's private property and you may need permission. Gatoclass (talk) 08:57, 24 February 2010 (UTC)

Thank you for writing such a wonderful article on Villa Maria. It was a very pleasant and unexpected surprise to see such a well developed article on the building. As you noted in the article the property is now private property thus it is a little more difficult to get a head on shot from its lawn. I'll nose around and see what I can do. BTW, don't know if you are anywhere near the area, but I also recently did an article on the Brooklyn Waterworks. It's in ruins today, but perhaps a little shot of the facade as it is today might add something to the article. If you do manage to get down there, I suggest you watch your step as I've read there are some deep holes in the grounds and in the building itself. Gatoclass (talk) 17:16, 24 February 2010 (UTC)

I might ask the Corcoran real estate agent (they're the ones who posted the website and who have it listed on their website) if I can get a shot. Now all I have to do is convince them I have $100 million in pocket change. ;-) My weekend house is in eastern Long Island in Suffolk County, the waterworks is in western Long Island in Nassau County. I can add it to my list of possible places I might run by but I can't guarantee anything. It certainly couldn't do it before daylight savings takes effect. I don't know of any other people who might be willing to do it. User:DanTD is about the only other person who contributes photos island wide but he lives in Florida. Because I have "doctrinal differences"

with some of the editors of the Sculpture of the United States article I do very little editing there know but was intrigued by your recent Legal issues regarding photographs section. Does this information suggest to you that all of the post 1923 sculptures pictured in the article, for example, are copyright violations? Over the years I have had dozens, perhaps a hundred or more pictures of sculpture removed because of the copyright issue. I am a slow learner, but I no longer post such images. But I do find myself wondering how much longer such legal arguments will be able to hold sway over the power of the internet. I hope that I live long enough to discover the answer. I've gotten dinged on several sculpture photos and it's hard to find the specifics of why anywhere on Wikipedia. I was hoping to at least start the dialogue by putting the case in several places hoping that "experts" would come forward. It's a very hot button that seems to be the blind leading the blind without any article backup. Americasroof (talk) 18:55, 1 March 2010 (UTC)

The way I've come to understand it is that if I write an article about a particular statue ( Spirit of the American Doughboy - for example) it is okay to use a picture, but if the article is about the sculptor or something even broader, such as equestrian sculpture, then it is forbidden. This was explained to me by a Harvard Law School student, so who am I, mere mortal, to disagree. And, of course, (one of 23 words or phrases that all mean my opinion) there is always the chance that he's right. I can see if someone makes 23 million dollars off your design where some of that should come back, but that's not the case on wikipedia. But I like that you've put it out there. Thanks. Dozens killed in deadly mine explosion! Film at eleven!

Yeah, your recent addition to Southeast Missouri Lead District seems to me to be ambiguously worded. St. Joe, then Doe Run, over time consolidated all the mining under one company, but in the past (don't have the reference handy) there were many dozens of mining companies operating in the old lead belt. That sounds like an "explosion" (expansion) of activity to me. In the Viburnum Trend subdistrict there originally were several companies operating. Consolidation ≠ explosion if the activity was already underway. All of which is to say that I don't know, from the entry, what it is you're trying to say. I know what you mean. I usually steer clear of hot button main articles as they attract loonie rants with little concern for accuracy. I'm catching these errors and omissions as I work on the Timeline article which doesn't hit the hot buttons and doesn't get hampered by the pressure to instantly analyze. With a timeline you can just report what happened that day. I've done a lot on Transocean and will continue to work the support articles. One of these days I will add a table on the fleet working the spill (the seeds of which are on the Transocean article). The lack of specifics on that in the main article is another glaring omission. I'm coming around to your point of view: the timeline looks like a better use of my time than trying to convert radicals to WP policies and procedures. I'm losing assumption of good faith. I'd rather stay positive, perhaps with timeline work for a change of pace. I greatly appreciate your efforts at putting together a purely factual resource that will certainly help maintain a standard of references to reliable sources and, perhaps someday, help ensure a rock solid basis for summary style and NPOV in main article. (We can dream, can't we?) I would propose two things: 1. External links section to other timelines on the topic (preferring those with stable URLs), which I can do later this evening, and, something I can work over this month, 2. double check against my growing Zotero database of citations for factoids from some three reliable sources I check daily: NYT & nola.com & BBC -- rationale being timelines derived from three highly reliable sources of varying strengths & outlooks (all with history of stable URLs) may be used to cross-check each other and then check against this timeline for completeness. Thanks for your comments. I've come to the conclusion that a timeline or chronological discussion is about the only way to handle any current event or living person (and for that matter even major historical figures). There's no way we can instantly analyze and categorize something this big and complex. The oil spill article is unreadable to me. I've been enjoying building it as it's almost a blog now. This could well be the most fleshed out timeline on Wikipedia. I started using the WSJ timeline and the article. Since then I've been adding material by just reading news sources and most importantly drolling the official spill pages (for the government and BP). Those pages are quite detailed and actually very good. The government pages give you cool photos. BP unfortunately has great pictures but doesn't license them in a Wiki friendly manner. If something doesn't make sense I search for its background and usually find a treasure trove of other interesting data. I'm not sure why you are asking/telling me that. But I will assume you are posting this because I oppose efforts to totally expunge any coverage of the event from Wikipedia. This goes to the point I'm making. The event is complex and can't be dismissed in a sentence or two buried in the JetBlue article. The event caught the world's imagination and as such is notable. Even if it turns out that he fabricated major pieces of the story, the event did catch the world's imagination. Even hoaxes can be notable.Americasroof (talk) 14:47, 18 August 2010 (UTC)

I really like the photo of Cerner you posted. [1] The sky is a beautiful shade of blue. I see you've licensed it under Creative Commons. If I'm understanding the license correctly, it's free for re-use. However, you should be attributed. If I were to re-use it, how would you like to be attributed?

And, by chance, do you happen to have more like it? A land-scape (instead of portrait) of the same building would be very useful.
