Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Loyolaemblem.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Loyolaemblem.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
There is a debate is going on in the talk page of the article regarding inclusion of an image of a beggar in Bodhgaya. User Nikkul in defence of his argument is continuously making personal attacks against me, giving examples from other articles. This user is making wild accusations on me. I will request you please read the relevant sections on this page to give an inside in this user and to understand who is incivil. Please read the texts like these [1], [2], [3]. The Bodggaya beggar image is more appropriate than others because:
You may know, many beggars live a condition like this, many of them have various disabilities.
There is no "typical" definition of poverty, or beggar. There are abled beggar, disabled beggar. The purpose of the article is depicting poverty. The other beggar images which this user want to place deleting the Bodhgaya beggar image are not good quality, one is B&W, and the other depicting a beggar girl in Ladakh. But my objection here is that Ladakh is quite different from rest of the country because of its geographics. Majority Indians live in plain. And this Bodhgaya beggar image is showing poverty at its most extreme level. It is not right to conceal the situation of poor men like this, it is the truth, the reality. This image touches the heart of the reader, which is a real situation. Yes not all beggars are disabled, but is this an argument? On the other hand it also can be said that not all beggars are abled. Our job here is not to understand who is abled, or who is not. But to find a good image which is representative of many.
This user is repeatating his arguments and has taken a densive position by his ad hominem attack on me. This user has informed many partisan editors, like User:Hkelkar socks about the image. Any one do not agree with him, here I am trying to depict poverty, and he is labelling me as Indophobic. The only reason given against this image that "since all beggars have not messed up legs, this image is undue". But it is an anti-individualistic argument. So what if not all beggars do not have messed up legs? The fact is that such secenes is a reality and it would not be right to conceal it. Such scenes exists, it is the truth. If it is reality, if such scenes exits, then an article depicting poverty i.e. "the condition of lacking full economic access to fundamental human needs such as food, shelter and safe drinking water", only those images should remain which clearly illustrate this fact.
Please remember the article is not about India, but the article is about poverty. This article is not depicting India, depicting poverty in India. So such image is not deriding India, it is illustrating the poverty in India. Such scenes does exists. Will it be right to conceal it? I am sympathetic to the poor. It is true their are abled beggars also, but such scenes does also exists. There are other images in the article which depict abled poor. This image will cover all the sides and will be very appropriate. I request you please look into the matter. Your right judgement will be appreciated. Hi Aksi_great,
I am Gaurang Jadia. You have created one article on personalities who won Padma Awards and Bharat Ratna of Ahmedabad. I like to ask you that from where you got such list, there is no any reference in article. I want to create a article which list Padma Awardee personalities from Rajkot. Can you help me to find? A tag has been placed on Image:AMCstructure.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section I1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image is redundant copy (all pixels the same or scaled down) of an image in the same file format, which is on Wikipedia (not on Commons), and all inward links have been updated.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on [[ Talk:Image:AMCstructure.jpg|the talk page]] explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. request for ahmedabad edit
Hi aksi_great, I was wondering if the following line is correct?
Soon after the victory, he established a city called Karnavati on the banks of the Sabarmati at the site of Maninagar area that is not part of the expanded modern Ahmedabad.
Should it be "not" or "now" - as in - "now part of the expanded modern Ahmedabad."?? I know you are one of the primary editors for this article and I wanted to run it by you before I made a change. Please leave me a message - and I'll make the change or you can go ahead and make the change.. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Rev.bayes (talk • contribs) 14:36, 25 February 2008 (UTC)

Hi Aksi great. A few months ago you have made some contributions in the MediaWiki localisation of Gujarati on Betawiki. On your user page I see that you are also quite proficient in Hindi. Both languages still do not have an adequate minimal localisation. I would appreciate if you would be able to put an effort in. If you would be ableo to recruit some other users for Hindi and/or Gujarati, that would also be great. In any case, thank you for your help. I hope to see you again soon on Betawiki. Cheers! If you are watching the India-SA series, you must have noticed an advertisement by IPL where at the end the teams are listed. There Kings XI Punjab is used, so we can safely assume that Kings XI Punjab is the official name of the mohali twenty20 franchise. What I suggest is delete the Mohali Twenty20 franchise page, delete the Kings XI Punjab page temporarily and rename Punjab Kings to Kings XI Punjab. That way only one page would exist for the mohali franchise. I'm telling this as Punjab Kings is the more updated page. Please reply on my talkpage as to what you think of this proposal.

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Anil Mukim, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Questions
I just joined the Gujarati Wikiproject and was wondering if there is a UBX for it. If not I will make one. Also, I am trying to make a workgroup and want help doing so. I have already gotten 7 participants, but I don't know how to make the page and everything else that is involved. Juthani1tcs02:49, 14 May 2008 (UTC)

Census India
I came across the new site of census while updating Gangtok, and found that the provisional table of population that GR India template uses is now outdated. Unfortunately, I could not dig out any such updated table, which would provide us with the population of cities.
Please see this and comment. As the provisional data is replaced by updated data, somehow we should change that, too. But how? This is very fundamental, and needs to be addressed. Regards.--Dwaipayan (talk) 06:21, 16 May 2008 (UTC)
