"Propellor" correctionsThanks for your efforts to correct the spelling of the word "propeller". However, please be careful that you do not break existing links to cited sources, as you did here. The link on the web, https://www.hartfordbusiness.com/article/europe-oks-hamiltons-8-blade-propellor , is misspelled, so it should not be corrected. Please look out for this kind of error, and don't correct them. Thanks. BilCat (talk) 04:05, 10 July 2021 (UTC) ArbCom 2021 Elections voter messageDisambiguation link notification for November 25Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Mike Mentzer, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Germantown, Pennsylvania. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.) It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. I am sure they were made in good faith. However, you not only changed the format of book titles, but reverted to an earlier version of the text. Her 5th novel became unpublished. Nl maclean (talk) 07:04, 14 March 2022 (UTC) Sesquiplanes. The word literally means one and a half wings. The slightly broader French definition that is no longer really used was that one wing must be 3/5 of the other. Please stop flooding every last biplane that has a slight overhand on one wing into the sesquiplane category as they don't belong. The Hawker Hart is NOT a sesquiplane by anyone's definition, nor are most of the thousands of aircraft you added the category to. An overhang, or a small difference in chord is not enough to define an aircraft as a sesquiplane. - NiD.29 (talk) 07:23, 20 May 2022 (UTC)
May 2022Hello, I'm BilCat. I wanted to let you know that one or more external links you added to AD Navyplane have been removed because they seemed to be inappropriate for an encyclopedia. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page, or take a look at our guidelines about links. Thank you. Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give a page a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into Rod Macalpine-Downie. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history. In most cases for registered users, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge. Thank you. For the first half of 2024 I'm the Aotearoa Wikipedian-at-Large, based in Christchurch and funded by a grant from Wikimedia Aotearoa New Zealand. As part of the project I'm running regular meetups in Tūranga where local Wikipedians can meet, chat, help each other out and collaborate on projects. I'll also be organising edit-a-thons, wikiblitzes, and training for new editors. The goal is to grow the editor community in Christchurch and convince local institutions that Wikipedia is worth taking seriously. We're having an initlal coffee in Foundation Cafe on Sunday 18 February to talk about what Christchurch Wikipedians might like to do; come along if you're free, or drop me a line at mikerove.wiki if you have ideas or suggestions.
We'll be holding a Christchurch meetup every 4 weeks, modelled on the successful Wellington monthly meetups that have been a big part of growing the Wikimedia community in Wellington and New Zealand. These will be both a coffee chat and a chance for collaborative work in the library's 4th floor workspace. The first two will be:

The policy indicates that one editor shouldn't unilaterally change the citation style of an article that has a consistent style without first seeking consensus. I noticed that you edited the article on [The Balloon-Hoax]] to what is, I presume, your personally preferred style, and that was unnecessary and inappropriate without discussion first.
