Ubaida Ansari
Ubaida Ansari (1944–2014) was a Pakistani actress.[1] She acted in numerous television dramas.[1] She was known for her roles in dramas Quddusi Sahab Ki Bewah, Yeh Zindagi Hai, Meri Saheli Meri Humjoli, Rehaai and Zard Mausam.[2] Early lifeUbaida was born in 1944 in Karachi, Pakistan.[3] CareerIn 1960 she started working at Radio Pakistan in Lahore.[4] She was noted for her high-pitch voice[5] and for her work in the dramas Zeenat, Khala Kulsoom Ka Kumba and Tum Hi To Ho.[1] She also appeared in dramas Saagar Ka Ansoo, Stolen and Mera Muqaddama Tum Lado Gay.[6] In 1998 she appeared in movie Jinnah.[2] She also appeared in the drama Yeh Zindagi Hai and Yeh Zindagi Hai Season 2 as Kulsoom which was the longest-running television series.[7] Since then she appeared in a variety of dramas Quddusi Sahab Ki Bewah, Zard Mausam and Rehaai.[8][9] Personal lifeUbaida was married and had two children.[10] Illness and deathShe was in a critical condition for a past few days.[3] She died at the age of 70 on 21 March 2014 in Karachi.[11][3][1] FilmographyTelevision
