Two weeks later Magoo was Introduced to Radiah Scott , Chonita Coleman, & Missy Elliott of Sista by his friend E who apparently didn't want Magoo to introduce Sista to Timbaland. But Magoo did just that by introducing Missy & Sista to Timbaland , Pharrell & Larry of S.B.I., & Chad Hugo , Mike E. & Shay Haley N•E•R•D•, and they all started work. In the Summer of 1991 Pharrell left the group to focus on the music he was doing with N•E•R•D• by performing at talent show which led to them being discovered by Teddy Riley which led to Pharell co writing the hits Rump Shaker, Right Here Remix , & Baby Be Mine by Wrekx-N-Efeect , S.W.V., & BLACKstreet. While this happening in 1992 Sista auditioned in front of Mr. Dalvin & DeVante Swing backstage at a Jodeci concert which led to them getting. Missy also suggested for S.B.I. to audtion in front of Jodeci which lead to them getting signed & forming the collective Da Bassment Crew with Jodeci, Sista, & Darryl Pearson which later included fellow members & future collaborators/friends Ginuwine , the R&B and rap group Play which included Static , Black, & Smoke E., Heavy Metal artist Boogieman Royale, rappers Mr.Brendal & Accion, Female rapper Reeboc , producer Stevie J , future Sista member Leshawn Shellman,& the R&B singing girl group called Sugah which included members Susan Weems, Rolita White, & Tweet. During the early days of Da Bassment Crew, after group member Larry Live had left S.B.I. After DeVante Swing had sent them for a while to quit their jobs in 1993, Magoo suggested to Tim to form a duo group called Timbaland & Magoo. After guest appearing on fellow Swing Mob artists' releases, the duo decided to leave the label, following after Elliott, who did so due to low pay cuts and chaotic working conditions. Timbaland & Magoo signed with Blackground Records in 1996, an imprint of Atlantic Records to release their debut album, Welcome to Our World in November 1997. It spawned the single "Up Jumps da Boogie", which peaked at number 12 on the Billboard Hot 100 and remains their highest-charting song.[5] They released two further studio albums as a group, Indecent Proposal in 2001 and Under Construction, Part II in 2003.
