Tharoi Ahambei Mahao is a 2022 Manipuri film written and produced by Ranjit Ningthouja and directed by Khoibam Homeshwori, under the banner of Home Films Manipur.[1] It stars Silheiba Ningthoujam and Ithoi Oinam in the lead roles.[2] The film was released at Manipur State Film Development Society (MSFDS), Palace Compound, Imphal on 30 April 2022. It is based on the Shumang Kumhei of the same title.[3]
Plot
The film revolves around Nganthoi, who eloped with her lover Ahenba against the wishes of her parents. They did not want Ahenba as he is not from a well-to-do family. But Nganthoi finally proved them to be wrong.

Soundtrack
Amarjit Lourembam composed the soundtrack for the film and Ajit Ningthouja wrote the lyrics. The song is titled Thengnahalle.[4]
