List of The Boondocks characters

Hello, fellow editors … There is currently a discussion about merging these four articles into List of The Boondocks characters:

• A Pimp Named Slickback (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views)
• Colonel H. Stinkmeaner (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views)
• Ed Wuncler, Sr. (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views)
• Ed Wuncler III and Gin Rummy (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views)

I do not believe that there was consensus on merging them, the {{merge}} templates had not been removed, but most importantly, this template had not been modified to remove the wikilinks for these characters … as I stated on the talk page, I am neutral on the merges, but I feel that there should be further discussion … perhaps an AfD of all four articles (as a group) is the way to go?

If any of these characters should lose their article, then I believe that this template should be modified to remove them … a template should not contain links that are redirects, IMHO.
