At the time of the 2006 National Census, the rural district's population was 13,191 in 3,550 households.[5] There were 13,601 inhabitants in 4,111 households at the following census of 2011.[6] The 2016 census measured the population of the rural district as 12,706 in 4,100 households. The most populous of its 14 villages was Tad (now a city),[7] with 3,740 people.[2]
