Sara Hughes (artist)
Sara Hughes (born 1971) is a Canadian-born New Zealand artist. BackgroundHughes was born in 1971 in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.[1][2] She graduated in 2001 from the Elam School of Fine Arts with a Masters of Fine Arts.[3] CareerHughes is a painter and installation artist.[3] Hughes is represented in Auckland by Gow Langsford Gallery[4] and in Melbourne by Sutton Gallery.[3] Work by Hughes are included in some of public collections including the Auckland Art Gallery Toi o Tāmaki,[2] Museum of New Zealand Te Papa Tongarewa,[5] and the National Gallery of Australia.[6] In 2023 she was commissioned to create art works called Colour Quartet to be sold to raise funds for the restoration of Kāhui St David's a music centre in Khyber Pass Rd, Auckland.[7] Residencies
