Roshan Kanakala
Roshan Kanakala (born March 15, 2000) is an Indian actor who appears in Telugu cinema. He is the son of actors Rajeev Kanakala and Suma Kanakala.[1][2][3] He made his lead debut with the film Bubblegum (2023).[4][5] Early lifeRoshan Kanakala is the son of actors Rajeev Kanakala and Suma Kanakala. He completed his education at Oakridge International School and formally trained in acting in Los Angeles and Pondicherry.[6][7] CareerKanakala made his leading debut in the 2023 film Bubblegum, directed by Ravikanth Perepu. Though the film received mixed reviews, he received praise for his performance from critics. Sangeetha Devi Dundoo of The Hindu commented: "Roshan Kanakala showcases confidence and vulnerability in his debut, with a boy-next-door charm and promising talent",[8] and Naresh Kumar of Hindustan Times noted: "Roshan Kanakala delivers a confident debut as Aadi, portraying a true Hyderabadi boy with fitting dialogue delivery and attitude, showing no fear of the camera.[9] Abhilasha Cherukuri of Cinema Express noted "Roshan Kanakala is charming and affecting in his debut role."[10] He later appeared in a Disney+ Hotstar web series The Mystery of Moksha Island (2024) as an antagonist, Akash; he was praised by critics for his performance. Avad Mohammad of OTT Play wrote: "Roshan Kanakala impresses in a bold role, delivering a striking performance with his intense portrayal and impactful look."[11] and 123 Telugu stated "Roshan Kanakala delivers a commendable performance as a convincing negative character, showing his bold choice of role."[12] He will next star in Mowgli, directed by Sandeep Raj, where he plays the titular character.[13] Filmography
