Regal Shoes Building
Regal Shoes is a historic two-story building at 6349 W. Hollywood Boulevard in Hollywood, California. HistoryRegal Shoes, built in 1939, was designed in the Streamline Moderne style by the architectural firm Walker & Eisen, who were responsible for many of Los Angeles's most notable buildings, including the Fine Arts Building, Hollywood Plaza Hotel, Taft Building, United Artists Theatre, and more.[1] The building has many features common in Streamline Moderne design, including a rounded corner, porthole windows, banded windows, and a Terrazzo entry.[2] In 1984, the Hollywood Boulevard Commercial and Entertainment District was added to the National Register of Historic Places, with Regal Shoes listed as a contributing property in the district.[2] Regal Shoes Building was owned by the Church of Scientology as of 2006,[3] and the Sea Org logo is located on the exterior of the building.
