County in Qom, Iran
Qom County (Persian : شهرستان قم ) is in Qom province, Iran. Its capital is the city of Qom .[ 3]
History
After the 2006 National Census, the village of Salafchegan was elevated to the status of a city.[ 4]
After the 2016 census, Jafarabad District [ a] and Qahan Rural District were separated from the county in the establishment of Jafarabad County , and Nofel Loshato District [ b] in establishing Kahak County .[ 5]
Demographics
Population
At the time of the 2006 census, the county's population was 1,036,714, in 262,313 households.[ 7] The following census in 2011 counted 1,151,672 people in 320,977 households.[ 8] The 2016 census measured the population of the county as 1,292,283 in 383,532 households.[ 2]
