Place in Lower Carniola, Slovenia
Praproče pri Temenici (pronounced [ˈpɾaːpɾɔtʃɛ pɾi ˈteːmɛnitsi] ; in older sources also Prapreče ,[ 2] German : Prapretshe [ 2] ) is a small settlement northeast of Šentvid pri Stični in the Municipality of Ivančna Gorica in central Slovenia . The area is part of the historical region of Lower Carniola . The municipality is now included in the Central Slovenia Statistical Region .[ 3]
Name
The name of the settlement was changed from Praproče to Praproče pri Temenici in 1955.[ 4] In the past the German name was Prapretshe .[ 2]
Cultural heritage
Two small roadside chapels in the settlement are dedicated to the Virgin Mary and Saint Anthony of Padua and were built in the early 20th century.[ 5]
