Klashorst created an impressive and sometimes very confronting set of around 50 paintings. The show got world wide attention (The New York Times and Herald Tribune).[2] Klashorst died of lymphoma in Amsterdam, on 11 September 2024, at the age of 67; at the time of his death he had been suffering from HIV for several years.[3] Prizes
