Pavol Gostič
Pavol Gostič (born 5 November 1966) is a Slovak former footballer who is last known to have played as a striker for DAC. Early lifeGostič grew up idolizing Czechoslovakia international Marián Masný.[1] Club careerGostič was part of what was regarded as the successful 1990s Slovan Bratislava generation of players and helped the club win the last Czechoslovakian league title and the first Slovak league title.[2] He formed an attacking trio with Slovakia internationals Jaroslav Timko and Peter Dubovský.[3] International careerGostič played for the Slovakia national football team. Style of playGostič mainly operated as a striker and was known for his fast feet and diving trick called "Gostič's bicycle", which helped Slovan gain penalty kicks.[4] Managerial careerAfter retiring from professional football, Gostič worked as a youth manager.[5] Personal lifeGostič has been a supporter of Slovak side Slovan.[1] References
