North Whittier is an unincorporated community[1][2][3][4] in Los Angeles County in the U.S. state of California. The population was 4,351 according to the 2000 census.[1] North Whittier is home to Rio Hondo College[5] and Rose Hills Memorial Park,[6] which claims to be the largest cemetery in North America.[7] GeographyNorth Whittier has a total area of 5.46 square miles.[1] North Whittier is located at coordinates 34°0′40″N 118°1′35″W / 34.01111°N 118.02639°W (34.0112391, -118.026387).
