Nepal A cricket team
The Nepal A cricket team (Nepali: नेपाल ए क्रिकेट टिम) is a national-level men's cricket team of Nepal that plays in the second-tier relative to the Nepal national cricket team. Matches played by Nepal A are not considered Test matches or One Day Internationals; they instead are eligible to receive first-class and List A classification respectively. It is a developmental team, domestic players are often expected to first get selected in this team before playing for the senior team.[1] The team was announced by Cricket Association of Nepal secretary Paras Khadka on 4 January 2024.[2] The first representative game played by Nepal A was against Canada in February 2024.[3] The squad for that series was announced on 14 February 2024.[4][5] Nepal A played their first official List A cricket match against Ireland Wolves during the Nepal tour of Ireland Wolves in late March 2024.[6][7][8] Current squadThe Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) on 14 February 2024 revealed the Nepal A side with Binod Bhandari leading the team.[9] Players with international caps are marked as bold.
