Mollie Eriksson
Mollie Jae Eriksson (born July 23, 2000) is a Swedish footballer who plays for Ottawa Rapid FC in the Northern Super League. Early lifeBorn in Sweden, Eriksson began playing youth football with IFK Lindesberg.[2] When she was eight years old, she moved to Canada with her family.[3] In Canada, she played with Ottawa South United, as well as with the Ontario provincial team.[4] In 2016, she went back to Sweden and spent time with several local teams and had a training stint with Rosenborg.[5] In 2017, she returned to Canada and joined the Ontario REX program.[6] In 2017, she played with Team Ontario at the 2017 Canada Summer Games, winning a silver medal.[7] College careerIn 2018, Eriksson began attending DePaul University, where she played for the women's soccer team.[8] During her first season, she was named the Big East Freshman of the Week on two occasions,[9][10] and was named to the Big East All-Freshman Team at the end of the season.[11] In her second season, she was named the Big East Goalkeeper of the Week once and named to the Big East Honor Roll once.[12][13] She was also named to the Big East All-Academic Team multiple times over her five seasons.[7] Club careerIn 2017 and 2018, Eriksson played with West Ottawa SC in League1 Ontario.[14][15] In 2019, she played with Darby FC.[16] From 2022 to 2024, she played with North Mississauga SC.[17][18][19] In both 2023 and 2024, she was named a league Second Team All-Star.[20][21] She was also a finalist for the Goalkeeper of the Year award both years as well.[5] In January 2025, she signed with Ottawa Rapid FC in the Northern Super League.[3] International careerEriksson is eligible to represent both Sweden and Canada at international level. In 2012, she represented Canada at the U12 Danone Nations Cup, one of two girls to make the team.[22] In 2016 and 2017, Eriksson played with the Sweden U16 and Sweden U17 teams, accruing eight caps.[7] She was also called up to a camp with the Sweden U23.[3] She also attended camps with the Canada U17 and Canada U20 teams.[7][23][24] Coaching careerWhile pursuing a graduate degree at McMaster University, she served as an assistant coach with the women's soccer team.[25] Career statistics
