HistoryThe station opened on March 24, 1925 as Mogusa Station (百草駅). It was renamed to its present name on May 1, 1937. A new station building was completed in 2007. Passenger statisticsIn fiscal 2019, the station was used by an average of 7,620 passengers daily.[2] The passenger figures for previous years are as shown below.
