Module talk:MarriageContributions welcomeI started carving out the basic structure of this module with the idea that it could eventually fully replace the logic within Template:Marriage currently in use today. This is an incredibly basic interpretation of what is presently a monolithic-feeling template. Ideally, dropping in this module call into the existing template would be a seamless action, but there are some things that I’d like to address along the way (namely, some spacing and styling issues long-experienced in infoboxes on mobile) Moving it to a Lua module will be a nice opportunity to discuss if there are any portions of code that should be left behind when starting “from scratch”. What I’ve assembled is but a mere husk for recreating the basics of the original Template and it should not be seen as currently trying to matching the original. That’s wholly intentional. I just wanted to start with something here. I’m seeking feedback on this and would love to hear any discussion around it. As far as I’m concerned, if someone has a full reimplementation of the current logic in the template, fantastic. If there are major concerns around any implementation details, I am excited to hear how things could be improved! Looking forward to working more on this! |
