American stand-up comedian
Martin Amini is an American stand-up comedian whose material has centered around his experiences growing up in America with immigrant parents from mixed cultural backgrounds.[ 1] Amini is the founder of Room 808. Named one of the best comedy clubs in D.C. by The Washington Post . [ 2] [ 3] [ 4] Amini is known for his crowd work and is considered to be the cupid of stand-up comedy.[ 5]
Early life
Amini was born and raised in Silver Spring, Maryland . He is a first-generation child of Bolivian and Iranian immigrant parents.[ 6] [ 7]
Career
Amini made his television debut on TruTV's Laff Tracks.[ 8]
In 2020, Martin filmed a stand-up performance entitled Son of An Ice Cream Man [ 9] at The Kennedy Center .[ 1] [ 10]
Comedian Martin Amini Unveils Debut Special ‘I’m Transcending’. The special was taped in Washington, D.C. at the Lincoln Theatre , directed by comedian Erik Griffin , with Amini, Matt Rife , and Christina Shams serving as executive producers.[ 11]
Amini is headlining at The Comedy Store main room in Los Angeles, and The Regent Theater for Netflix is a Joke Festival 2024.[ 12] [ 13]
Amini is known for his crowd work and is considered to be the cupid of stand-up comedy.[ 14]
Martin Amini is currently on an international tour in 2024.[ 15]
