Mark Fletcher Jr. (born October 17, 2004)[1] is an American football running back for the Miami Hurricanes.

High school career

Fletcher attended American Heritage School in Plantation, Florida. As a senior, he rushed for 1,934 yards and 23 touchdowns.[2] Fletcher originally committed to Ohio State,[3] before decommitting during his senior year.[4] A four-star recruit, he committed to play college football at the University of Miami over an offer from Florida.[5][6]

College career

Fletcher earned immediate playing time as a freshman, rushing for the game-winning touchdown in overtime against Virginia.[7] Against NC State, he rushed for a then career-high 115 yards in a 20–6 loss.[8] In the 2023 Pinstripe Bowl, Fletcher suffered a Lisfranc injury, being carted off the field.[9][10] He finished his freshman season rushing for 514 yards and five touchdowns.[11] Fletcher returned from his injury, rushing for two touchdowns in the 2024 season opener against Florida.[12] Against Florida State, he rushed for 71 yards and touchdown.[13][14]
