In March 2024, it was announced that Pellerin, Madekwe and several other actors were cast in the film.[ 2]
Release
The film premiered at the 2025 Sundance Film Festival on January 26, 2025[ 3] 75th Berlin International Film Festival in the section Berlinale Special Gala , where it will also be in competition for the Teddy Award .[ 4]
In February 2025, Mubi acquired distribution rights to the film.[ 5]
Reception
On the review aggregator website Rotten Tomatoes , 94% of 18 critics' reviews are positive, with an average rating of 7.6/10. Metacritic , which uses a weighted average , assigned the film a score of 75 out of 100, based on 7 critics, indicating "generally favorable" reviews.
