Luis Toomey
Luis Noel Toomey (born 1 July 2001) is a New Zealand professional footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder for A-League club Auckland FC.[2][3] Club careerToomey signed for Auckland FC on 20 June 2024 for their inaugural season.[4][5] On 2 November 2024, Toomey made his A-League Men and professional debut as a late substitute in a match against former club Wellington Phoenix. Toomey provided a late assist to Jake Brimmer as his Auckland side won 2–0.[6] International careerOn 16 August 2023, Toomey was named in the New Zealand U23 for the Olympic qualifiers.[7] He scored on his debut on 30 August 2023 against Fiji.[8] Toomey was named as a non-travelling reseverve for the Olympics on 10 July 2024.[9][10] On 23 July 2024 Toomey was named as an alternate player after Riley Bidois was injured and replaced by Lachlan Bayliss.[11] References
