Leonie ter Braak
Leonie ter Braak (born 28 September 1980) is a Dutch television presenter and actress. She is known for presenting several television shows, including the talk show HLF8. She also played a role in the 2020 film The Marriage Escape, the 2022 film De Tatta's and the 2023 film De Tatta's 2. CareerTer Braak began her career as a model.[1][2] After her modelling career she began presenting television shows for RTV Oost.[3] In 2010, she presented the television show Keuringsdienst van Waarde for KRO-NCRV, a consumer television program which looks at food production, labels on food products as well as the production of other consumer products.[2] In 2012, she became a presenter for WNL.[2] In 2018, Ter Braak became a presenter for Talpa Network (SBS6).[2][4] In that same year, she presented the television show Wat is de uitslag? in which people get to hear an important result, such as whether they have passed an exam or a medical examination.[5][6] She also presented the 2019 television show Niets liever dan een kind which follows people trying to become pregnant.[7][8] In 2019, Ter Braak was one of the team captains in the television game show Mars versus Venus, a quiz show about the differences between men and women.[9][10] She was the team captain of the female team and Jan Versteegh was team captain of the male team.[9] Ter Braak was one of the contestants in the 2020 season of the television show Wie is de Mol?[11][12] In that same year, she presented the television show Uit het leven gegrepen: Erasmus MC about patients and staff of the Erasmus MC in Rotterdam, Netherlands.[13] Ter Braak played a role in the 2020 film The Marriage Escape directed by Johan Nijenhuis.[14] It was her film debut.[15][16] The film became the best visited Dutch film of 2020.[17][18] In 2021, she presented Kinderen kopen ideale huis in which children, rather than the parents, choose a home to purchase.[19] In that same year, Ter Braak and Wendy van Dijk presented Cupido Ofzo in which they follow people with a disability or people with neurodiverse differences in their search for love.[20][21] In 2022, Ter Braak and Leo Alkemade presented the quiz show Van je familie moet je het hebben in which a contestant and their family attempt to answer the same questions to win a certain amount of money.[22] Ter Braak played a role in the 2022 film Zwanger & Co directed by Johan Nijenhuis.[23] In that same year, she played a role in the film De Tatta's directed by Jamel Aattache.[1][24] She also appears in the 2023 film De Tatta's 2.[25] These three films won the Golden Film award after having sold 100,000 tickets. De Tatta's and De Tatta's 2 also won the Platinum Film award after having sold 400,000 tickets. In 2022, Ter Braak became one of the presenters of the talk show HLF8.[10][26] She previously appeared as sidekick in the show.[27] In January 2023, Ter Braak began working for RTL Nederland.[10][28] She became one of the presenters of the television show Blow Up in which contestants compete in balloon modelling.[29][30] She also presented the show Voor Hetzelfde Geld, in which people search for an affordable house to purchase outside of the Randstad area.[29][31] Ter Braak was one of the contestants in the 2023 television photography show Het Perfecte Plaatje op Reis.[32][33] She finished in first place.[34] She also appeared in a 2023 episode of the show Rooijakkers over de vloer presented by Art Rooijakkers.[35][36] In 2024, she presented the television news quiz show Wat een dag!.[37][38] The show was cancelled after disappointing viewing figures.[37][38] She also presents B&B Vol Liefde.[39] Selected filmographyFilm
