Kang Tae-won
Kang Tae-won (Korean: 강태원; Chinese: 姜泰源; born 3 March 2000) is a footballer who plays as a midfielder for Hwaseong FC. Born in South Korea, he has been called up to represent Chinese Taipei internationally. Life and careerKang was born on 3 March 2000 in Seoul, South Korea. He was born to a Taiwanese father and a South Korean mother. He attended Seoul Shinyongsan Elementary School in South Korea. After that, he attended Seil Middle School in South Korea. After that, he attended Soongsil University in South Korea. He mainly operates as a midfielder. He specifically operates as an attacking midfielder. He can also operate as a left-winger or as a right-winger. He is left-footed. He is known for his passing ability.[1] As a youth player, he joined the youth academy of South Korean side Suwon Samsung Bluewings. He was described as "one of the most promising prospects" while playing for the club.[2] He started his senior career with them. On 26 May 2021, he debuted for them during a 0-0 draw with FC Anyang. He suffered an injury while playing for them. In 2024, he signed for South Korean side Hwaseong FC. He has been called up to represent Chinese Taipei internationally. He was first called up to the Chinese Taipei national football team for a friendly against the Cambodia national football team in 2024.[3] References
