Julia García Ruiz
Julia García Ruiz (born 5 August 2003) is a Mexican professional tennis player. She has career-high rankings of No. 921 in singles, achieved on 9 September 2024, and No. 784 in doubles, achieved on 15 July 2024. Early lifeGarcía Ruiz is a native of Morelia.[1][2] She began playing tennis at the age of four.[3] In her youth, she represented the Club Deportivo Futurama in Aguascalientes[4] before moving to the Academia Tenis Conade in Acapulco.[5][6] College careerIn 2022, she began playing collegiate tennis for the Oklahoma Sooners.[7][8] She was twice named a Big 12 Tennis Player of the Week in 2024.[9][10] Professional careerIn August 2024, she made her WTA doubles debut with a wildcard into the main draw of the Monterrey Open with compatriot Ana Karen Guadiana Campos.[11] She also received a wildcard into the singles qualifying competition where she defeated Natalija Stevanovic.
