João Marinho Neto
João Marinho Neto (born 5 October 1912) is a Brazilian supercentenarian who, at the age of 112 years, 122 days,[1][2][3] has been the world's oldest verified living man since the death of John Tinniswood of the United Kingdom on 25 November 2024.[4][5][6] BiographyJoão Marinho Neto was born in Maranguape, Ceará, on 5 October 1912 to a farming family. While in his infancy, he moved to Apuiarés with his whole family.[7] Marinho Neto was married to Josefa Albano dos Santos (1920–1994), with whom he had four children: Antônio, José, Fátima, and Vanda[7] (deceased). His spouse inherited land in Fazenda Massapê, which he farmed.[8] Later, he had three more sons, Vinícius, Jarbas, and Conceiçao, with Antonia Rodrigues Moura.[7] As of November 2024, Marinho Neto resides in the city of Apuiarés. His descendants include his living children, 22 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.[citation needed] References
