Jamie Golden
Jamie Golden (born 24 December 2001)[1] is a Scottish field hockey player who plays as a midfielder for the Western Wildcats and the Scotland national team.[2] Personal lifeJamie Golden was born and raised in Dundee, Scotland.[3] His older brother, Cameron, also represents Scotland in hockey.[4] Club careerGolden broke through the youth setup of Grove Menzieshill and eventually joined the senior team where he played until his departure in 2020.[5] In 2020, he moved to England to join Surbiton.[6] Following his time at Surbiton, Golden transferred to Beeston in the 2022–2023 season.[7] In 2023, Golden made a move to Germany, joining Hamburger Polo Club in the Bundesliga.[8] In 2024, Golden returned to Scotland to join Western Wildcats.[9] International careerUnder–21ScotlandGolden made his debut for the Scotland U–21 side at the EuroHockey Junior Championship II in Plzeň, where he won a gold medal.[10][11] Great BritainFollowing his Scotland junior debut, Golden went on to represent the Great Britain junior side. He appeared at the 2019, and 2022 editions of the Sultan of Johor Cup in Johor Bahru, winning gold and bronze, respectively.[10][12][13] Senior national teamGolden made his senior international debut in 2021.[2][10] In 2022, Golden was named in the squad for the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham.[14] References
