James Wray Williams
James Wray Williams (October 8, 1792 – December 2, 1842) was a U.S. Representative from Maryland. He served as a member of the Maryland House of Delegates in 1825 and from 1837 to 1839. He served as speaker of the Maryland House of Delegates in 1839. Early lifeJames Wray Williams was born on October 8, 1792. He completed preparatory studies.[1] CareerWilliams served as a member of the Maryland House of Delegates, representing Harford County, in 1825 and from 1837 to 1839. He served as speaker in 1839.[1][2] Williams was elected as a Democrat to the 27th Congress and served from March 4, 1841, until his death.[1] Personal lifeWilliams died on December 2, 1842, at his home at the Prieshford farm, Deer Creek, Maryland.[1][3] He was interred in the family cemetery on Prieshford farm.[1] See alsoReferences
