Gregory Wüthrich
Gregory Kwesi Wüthrich (born 4 December 1994) is a Swiss footballer who plays as a centre-back for Austrian Bundesliga club Sturm Graz and the Switzerland national team. Club careerWüthrich is a youth exponent from Young Boys. He made his Swiss Super League debut at 2 February 2014 against Thun in 2–1 home win.[2] He made 8 league appearances during the 2013–14 season. After making a total of 15 appearances, 9 of those being in the league, during the 2014–15 season, Wüthrich left Young Boys to join fellow Swiss Super League side Grasshopper on loan on 24 February 2015.[3] He made his club debut on 1 March versus St. Gallen.[4] Wüthrich signed for A-League club Perth Glory on 18 September 2019.[5] On 7 August 2020 he signed for Sturm Graz.[6] International careerEarly careerWüthrich was born to a Ghanaian mother and a Swiss father.[7] He has been a youth international for Switzerland. Wüthrich was called up to the senior Switzerland national team for the first time for the Nations League games against Denmark and Spain in September 2024.[8] He debuted on 5 September 2024 against Denmark at the Parken Stadium. He substituted Ruben Vargas in the 61st minute after the starting centre-back Nico Elvedi was sent off. Denmark won 2–0.[9] Young BoysIn July 2014, Wüthrich move to Young Boys from their academy.
