Government Doon Medical College
Government Doon Medical College is a full-fledged tertiary Government Medical college and hospital. It is located at Dehradun in Uttarakhand. The college imparts the degree of Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBBS). The yearly undergraduate student intake is 175. CoursesGovernment Doon Medical College undertakes the education and training of 175 students in MBBS courses. It also recently started postgraduate medical courses.[1] AffiliatedThe college is affiliated with Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Uttarakhand Medical Education University and is recognized by the National Medical Commission.[2] The Government Doon Medical College (GDMC) at Dehradun, Uttarakhand, offers several postgraduate (PG) courses, including[3]: Some of the popular programs include MD, MS, and MBBS. GDMCUK offers 21 courses to students in 10 specializations, such as Community Medicine, General Medicine, Anatomy, Physiology, Microbiology, Obstetrics & Gynecology, orthopedics, Pathology, Pediatrics, and Physiology. The institute provides courses that NMC approves. Doon Hospital of the Medical College, founded in 1935, is a premier teaching hospital proudly offering over 300 beds to serve our community. The government of Uttarakhand is striving to make this hospital one of the premier medical healthcare centers in this region. The bed strength has already risen to about 350 and is being upgraded to a 750-bed hospital with various super specialties, such as Neuro Surgery and Plastic Surgery Departments.
