G. Hampayya Nayak

G. Hampayya Nayak (born 1939) is an Indian politician from Karnataka. He is an MLA from Manvi Assembly constituency which is reserved for ST community in Raichur district. He represents Indian National Congress Party and won the 2023 Karnataka Legislative Assembly election.[1][2][3]

Early life and education

Nayak is from Manvi. He is born to Ramayya Gowda  a farmer. He passed Class 10.[4]

Career

Nayak won the 2023 Karnataka Legislative Assembly election representing Indian National Congress from Manvi Assembly constituency. He polled 66,922 votes and defeated his nearest rival, A. Bhagavantaray of Bharatiya Janata Party, by a narrow margin of 7,719 votes.[5][6]
