Evan Evans (film composer)
Evan Edward Evans (born September 13, 1975 in Bergen County, New Jersey) is an American film score composer.[1][2] He is the son of jazz pianist Bill Evans.[3] He attended University of California, Los Angeles and Nadia Boulanger Institute in Paris.[4] He apprenticed with several important entertainment industry personalities, including Argentinian film composer, concert composer and pianist Lalo Schifrin.[4] He generally composes for independent films.[citation needed] In 1999 he founded the record label, E3 Records; E3 is named after his three initials.[citation needed] Evans is also a semi-professional poker player and is the author of several works offering winning tips.[citation needed] FamilyEvans married composer Michele Rene in May 1999; as of 2011, they had three children, Elliot (2000), Miranda (2005) and Jaden (2008).[2] In 2024, Jaden released an album of Bill Evans covers.[5] He has one step-sister, Maxine.[citation needed] Filmography
