American football player (born 2003)
Elijah Sarratt (born May 28, 2003),[ 1] nicknamed Waffle House , is an American football wide receiver for the Indiana Hoosiers . He previously played for the Saint Francis Red Flash and James Madison Dukes .
Early life and high school
Sarratt attended Saint Frances Academy in Baltimore, Maryland . He originally attended Colonial Forge High School before transferring to Saint Frances prior to his senior year.[ 2] He committed to play college football at Saint Francis University .
College career
Saint Francis
As a freshman, Sarratt totaled 42 receptions for 700 yards and 13 touchdowns.[ 3] Following the conclusion of the season, he entered the transfer portal.
James Madison
Sarratt transferred to James Madison University , emerging as the team's leading receiver.[ 4] He finished his sophomore campaign recording 82 receptions for 1,191 yards and nine total touchdowns, while being named to the first-team All-Sun Belt .[ 5] Following the conclusion of the season, Sarratt entered the transfer portal for a second time.[ 6]
Indiana
On January 4, 2024, Sarratt announced that he would be transferring to Indiana University Bloomington to play for the Indiana Hoosiers .[ 7] [ 8]
