Emmanuel Benjamin (born 9 September 1979),a.k.a EBEN is a minister of the gospel with a mission to culture the world with the character of the kingdom of God . An ordained Pastor ,a teacher ,musician and entrepreneur EBEN believes we must shine the light of the glorious gospel of our lord and savior Jesus Christ into every man’s world .[1]

Early life and education

Eben was born and raised in Lagos, Nigeria, the fifth of six children. He is from a Christian family and attended Orile Primary School, and Community Grammar School, Orile, Lagos.[2]

Career

EBEN kicked off his music ministry officially in 2006 with the album "On The Rock" featuring songs like "Imaranma" "Iwo nikan", "God Dey" just to mention a few . This album would see him introduce a new genre of music he calls “Afro Rock”. A follow up album titled 'PHINOMENON' was also released 4 years later and then another one titled "JUSTIFIED" would come afterwards. with so many beautiful songs like “Jesus how I love you,you alone are worthy and "All the way" another wave of worship was Introduced. Soon afterwards came the "VICTORY" album with songs like "Jesus at the center", "God all by yourself",[3]stayed on you and of course "victory", Eben’s reach would yet increase into the rest of Africa and the world at large . With hit singles like "No one like you"[4] [5][6] feat Nathaniel Bassey,"Agunechemba" featuring American worship leader Phil Thompson and last but not the least "NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE" feat Tope Alabi, Ogo feat Todd Dulaney.[7] Eben is evidently graced with an unusual grace for songs[8][9][10] A multi award winner and prolific songwriter,Insightful teacher of the word of God , Eben is indeed graced for what he does . He is also a lovely father to three wonderful sons and married to his sweetheart jahdiel,an accomplished musician in her own rights.[11]

  • Songwriter of the Year at the LIMA AWARDS (2020)[15][16]

Personal life

On 30 November 2013, Eben married Jahdiel (Grace Okoduwa), his fellow gospel singer, with whom he has three children. In December 2013, Eben and Jahdiel had a white wedding and was joined in holy matrimony by Pastor Chris Oyakhilome of Christ Embassy. They are blessed with 3 children.
