Durefishan Saleem is a Pakistani actress of Punjabi descent who appears on Urdu television. She made her acting debut in Dil Ruba (2020)[2] as a supporting actress.[3][4]

She also played in Bhaaras (2020)[5] for which she received an ARY People's Choice Awards. Then, she gained her recognition in Kaisi Teri Khudgarzi (2022)[6] and Ishq Murshid (2023).[7]

Early life and education

Durefishan was born on 14 January 1996 in Lahore, Punjab to Saleem-ul-Hassan, who worked as a director and as a producer for PTV in the 2000s. She obtained her LLB from University College London. In 2019, she moved to Karachi to make her career in acting.[8][9]

Career

Debut and Established actress (2020-present)

Durefishan made her debut in a supporting role in Dil Ruba along with Hania Amir for which she garnered a nomination in Lux Style Awards for best newcomer.[10] Then, she made her lead debut in Bhaaras opposite Omer Shahzad and received positive reviews from critics.[11] After that, she acted in Pardes[12] with Affan Waheed and Juda Huay Kuch Is Tarha.[13]

In 2022, she acted in the love-dramatic Kaisi Teri Khudgarzi[14] opposite Danish Taimoor which made her successful and estiblished actress in industry. In 2023, she acted in Jurm[15] along with Wahaj Ali then in a antholology-series Siyaah, and the social-drama Jaisay Aapki Marzi opposite Mikaal Zulfiqar.[16] She was also offered to act in Jhok Sarkar along with Farhan Saeed.[17]

Then, she portrayed as Shibra Sulaiman in Ishq Murshid along with Bilal Abbas Khan and it garned good recognition from critics also praised fishan's acting.[18] In 2024, she acted in the revenge-thriller Khaie opposite Faysal Quraishi also it received positive reviews from audiences.[19][20]

In 2025, Durefishan going to appear in Sanwal Yaar Piya[21] along with Feroze Khan and Ahmed Ali Akbar also marks their first project together.[22][23]
