Drew Roach
Drew Roach (born January 28, 1985)[1] is an American politician. He is the member-elect for the 58B district of the Minnesota House of Representatives. Life and careerRoach attended Minnesota School of Business.[2] In November 2024, Roach defeated Ian English in the general election for the 58B district of the Minnesota House of Representatives, winning 59 percent of the votes.[3] He succeeded Pat Garofalo. He assumes office on January 7, 2025.[4] In January 2025, Roach yelled after Minnesota Secretary of State Steve Simon after he adjourned a session of the House for lack of quorum, calling his presiding over the House "a sham" and that he "should not have the gavel." Minnesota law requires the Secretary of State to convene the House when there is no Speaker.[5] A recent Supreme Court decision declared that the House did not have a quorum, so could not elect a Speaker.[6] Electoral history
