Dreams is an upcoming Mexican American drama film written and directed by Michel Franco and starring Jessica Chastain, Isaac Hernández and Rupert Friend.[1]

The international co-production between United States and Mexico, was selected in the Competition at the 75th Berlin International Film Festival, where it will compete for the Golden Bear and have first screening in February 2025 at Berlinale Palast.[2]

Production

In September 2023, it was announced that the film was in post-production after filming wrapped in San Francisco.[3] The film was also shot in Mexico City.[4] The filmmakers were granted a waiver from SAG-AFTRA which granted them to make the film during the 2023 SAG-AFTRA strike.[3]

In July 2024, it was announced that the international rights to the film were sold to the Match Factory.[4]
