Degognia Township, Jackson County, Illinois
Degognia Township is one of 16 townships in Jackson County, in the U.S. state of Illinois. As of the 2020 census, its population was 154 and it contained 62 housing units.[1] The township derives its name from Degognia Creek.[2] GeographyAccording to the 2021 census gazetteer files, Degognia Township has a total area of 30.64 square miles (79.36 km2), of which 29.53 square miles (76.48 km2) (or 96.37%) is land and 1.11 square miles (2.87 km2) (or 3.63%) is water.[3] Unincorporated towns
