Carlton Griffin (May 23, 1893 - July 23, 1940) was an American film actor. He appeared in over 50 films between the mid-1910s until 1940. In his first films, he was credited as C. Elliott Griffin or C. E. Griffin.

He had played small parts in a long list of films for the past 10 years. 'Before I Die' (Col) was, by irony, his final engagement. Griffin had been in Lubin shorts before the war, in which he served overseas. Upon his return he appeared in a novelty flash act, 'Magic Glasses,' with Grace Gordon. In 1928 he married Pauline Saxon, then doing a sister act with her daughter, Marie Saxon.
