Cantuaria prina
Cantuaria prina is a species of trapdoor spider endemic to New Zealand.[1] TaxonomyThis species was described in 1968 by Ray Forster from female specimens collected in Westland. The holotype is stored in Otago Museum.[1] DescriptionThe female is recorded at 21mm in length. The carapace and legs are dark reddish brown. The abdomen is dark brown dorsally.[1] DistributionThis species is only known from Westport in Westland, New Zealand.[1] Conservation statusUnder the New Zealand Threat Classification System, this species is listed as Data Deficient with the qualifiers of "Data Poor: Size" and "Data Poor: Trend".[2] References
