At the time of the 2006 National Census, the rural district's population (as a part of Bam and Safiabad District[a] in Esfarayen County) was 9,041 in 2,595 households.[5] There were 7,888 inhabitants in 2,537 households at the following census of 2011.[6] The 2016 census measured the population of the rural district as 6,902 in 2,524 households. The most populous of its 42 villages was Bam, with 1,368 people.[2]
