A free LAX Shuttle bus connects this station to the airport. However, when the K Line fully opens in 2025, the shuttle will cease operation, since people headed to and from the airport will be able to use the new LAX/Metro Transit Center station instead.[8] This station will then be renamed Aviation/Imperial station.[9]
The train platform, currently suitable for two-car trains, is planned to be lengthened by 2028 to accommodate longer three-car trains.[10][11]
