Ali Nemati (Persian: علی نعمتی, born 7 February 1996) is an Iranian professional footballer who plays as a defender for Persian Gulf Pro League club Foolad and the Iran national team.[1][2]

On 24 August 2021, Nemati signed a three-year contract with Persian Gulf Pro League champions Persepolis.[3][4]

International career

Nemati made his debut for the Iran national team on 10 October 2024 in a World Cup qualifier against Uzbekistan at the Milliy Stadium. He played the full game in a 0–0 draw.[5]

Style of play

A hard-working, aggressive, disciplined, and header defender, Nemati is known for his discipline and hard-tackling style of play. While playing for Persepolis, after scoring 4 goals for the team, he mentioned as a good header in the sport media of the country. He also has the ability to play in the left-back.[6][7]
