Alexander Abkhazava
Alexander Abkhazava (born 28 October 2006) is a Russo-Georgian racing driver who is set to compete in the 2025 Eurocup-3 season with MP Motorsport, having most recently raced in the series last year with Saintéloc Racing.[1][2] He previously competed in the 2023 F4 Spanish Championship with Drivex. CareerKartingAbkhazava mostly competed in Rotax karting, and in 2019 he won his only European title in the Rotax Junior category, in the Rotax Max Challenge International Trophy.[3] This was followed by some consistent results in 2021 and 2022 as he stepped up to the Rotax Senior category.[4] Formula 4In early 2023, it was announced that Abkhazava would be stepping up to cars with R-ace GP in the 2023 Formula 4 UAE Championship.[5] He finished 28th in the drivers' standings, with a best result of 9th place at Kuwait Motor Town.[6] Abkhazava then moved over to Europe, and he would be competing in the 2023 F4 Spanish Championship with Drivex.[7] He subsequently finished 24th in the standings to cap off a disappointing year, with a best result of 10th.[8] Formula Regional2024In January 2024, it was confirmed that Abkhazava would be contesting the full 2024 Formula Regional Middle East Championship season with Pinnacle Motorsport.[9] Abkhazava had a breakthrough season, finishing in 15th in the standings after a best result of 4th place in the first round at Yas Marina.[10] He ended up scoring 20 points over the course of the season.[11] For his main campaign, Abkhazava drove for Saintéloc Racing during the full 2024 Eurocup-3 season.[2] On his debut, he finished 2nd in an eventful race at Spa-Francorchamps.[12] He secured his first victory in the championship in the third race of the third round at Algarve.[13] However, Abkhazava endured a tough second half of the season in the series, seeing him fall to an eventual ninth-placed finish in the championship standings.[14] Abkhazava then contested the 2024 Formula Regional World Cup, hosted at the Guia Circuit in Macau, where he finished 9th.[15] 2025Abkhazava switched to MP Motorsport for the 2025 Eurocup-3 season, stating his goal to be to "vie for the championship".[16][17] Karting recordKarting career summary
