The 2010 NAB Cup was the Australian Football League (AFL) pre-season competition that was played before the 2010 season. The games were played between 12 February and 13 March, with the first match being between West Coast and Essendon at Subiaco Oval. It was the last pre-season competition held in the current knockout format due to the entry of the Gold Coast Suns into the AFL in 2011.[1]
Both games were played in Melbourne, due to the Adelaide Festival restricting accommodation in Adelaide and Subiaco Oval being used for the AC/DC concerts.[2]
The match between Brisbane Lions and Geelong was originally scheduled to be held in Southport, Queensland but was moved to Visy Park due to flooding in that region of Queensland. Severe storms in Melbourne that coincided with the start time for the relocated match, led to the match being cancelled.
