The 2008–09 Wyoming Cowboys basketball team represented the University of Wyoming in the 2008–09 NCAA Division I men's basketball season.[1] They compete in the Mountain West Conference. Wyoming advanced to the semifinals of the 2009 Mountain West tournament, where they lost to Utah.[2] They were invited to the 2009 College Basketball Invitational, where they lost in the first round to Northeastern.[3]
